Depreciation Groups in Czech localization

Dear all,

does anybody know for what the six depreciation Groups (asset master) are used in the Czech localization? I saw on SAP Help that it is used in Czech Republic and Slovakia but I didn´t get the exact reason. It is not a mandatory field in the asset master.

Thanks for any help!

Best regards

Roy

Hi Roy,

I see some details provided for Slokavia about the tax depreciation groups and a special depreciation key used for Accelerated Tax Depreciation

https://help.sap.com/viewer/cee321573b1f45ecad008d7c76716e7a/2005.500/en-US/ecb900c0f65d4f6ea4d07fdf...

Some additional details can be found here :https://taxsummaries.pwc.com/slovak-republic/corporate/deductions

There is nothing documented for Czekia as country specific in the help portal but it looks like something similar is applied there.

According to this PWC document https://taxsummaries.pwc.com/czech-republic/corporate/deductions

the 6 groups are :

Depreciation group Assets

1 Office machines and computers, tools

2 Engines, motor vehicles, machines, audio-visual equipment

3 Elevators, escalators, turbines, air conditioning equipment, electric motors, and generators

4 Buildings made of wood and plastic, long-distance lines, and pipes

5 Buildings (except for those listed in groups 4 and 6), roads, bridges, tunnels

6 Administrative buildings, department stores, historical buildings, and hotels

the breakdown is made on the minimum depreciation period possible.

So it seems like both countries use 6 categories but the content and the option to use accelerated tax depreciation methods is different.

I hope this helps you out.

Regards,

Lucian
