Dependent requirement not reducing PIR amount

I have a FERT with one component HALB.

I enter PIR's for HALB's to bring them in ahead of time as they have 3 month lead time (with no project#).

FERT demand gets created when a reservation is created against a created project.

Now when I run MRP, I want the PIR for the HALB to get reduced by the dependent requirements amount so we don't double order.

Bear in mind the FERT has a project# and the HALB does not. Also, sales orders use a dummy part# just to charge customer, so no sales order involvement with these parts.

Any ideas?

you need to define:

• proper strategy group
• consumption mode
• consumption period (forward and backward)
• mixed MRP
