Demand Driven Replenishment for configurable materials (KMAT)

Dear Community,

does somebody know whether it is possible to use S/4HANA DDMRP for planning of complex configurable materials (multi-level bom) or not ?

Configurable materials are generally under the sales order or project stock, so those specific materials shouldn't be planned with a DDMRP MRP type. However, on a variant configuration scenarios, you can use DDMRP for semi-finished products and raw materials that will be produced to stock based on the DDMRP buffer.

I just noticed that there is a mistake in my previous reply... materials under the sales order and project special stock SHOULD NOT be planned with DDMRP. MTS components, however, can be planned. I have edited my answer to avoid confusion in the future.
