Dear Phani,

DELINS is the message type of intermediate documents (IDOC) which is intended to apply a new delivery schedule to SD scheduling agreement.

Delivery schedules can be divided by Forecast and JIT (Just-In-Time) delivery schedules within the scheduling agreements. Therefore sometimes the DELINS IDOCs can be sent in a more precise form:

DELFOR - Forecast delivery schedule to SD scheduling agreement;

DELJIT - JIT delivery schedule to SD scheduling agreement;

DELINS is the general name, it can be either Forecast or JIT delivery schedule.

The basis IDOC type for DELINS, DELFOR, DELJIT is DELFOR01 or DELFOR02 basis types.

SEQJIT is a special IDOC type which is intended to send/receive a sequentlial delivery schedule to a JIT scheduling agreements. JIT scheduling agreements (LZJ, for example) exist only in Automotive System (not in core) and is a special type of sales documents which is propcessed mostly by using special Automotive transactions like JITM, JITH etc.

I hope, I was able to explain you the difference between these IDOC types and to help you a little bit further.

Kind Regards,

Hi Akmal

Thanks for your reply.

I am new to SAP and EDI SUBSYSTMS. Basically i am tech person . Here the problem is while reciving to inbound at SUBSYSTEM level document is comming as 830 only.

It is differentiating at SAP side with different message types . Once again thanks for your reply.

Hi and thanks for sharing this explanatory post!

I was wondering if you have any input on how to decide which message type to use in which scenario, when DELINS can be used in both delivery schedules?

For example, if I plan to have a sales scheduling agreement with a forecast for 60 weeks and a JIT delivery schedule for 10 days, would I opt for DELINS in the forecast schedule, and DELJIT or SEQJIT in the JIT delivery schedule? How is the information provided in the JIT schedule triggering the creation of a JIT call?
