Hi Experts

I am big time confused wrt Delimiting so need ur help!!!

for a custom table i need to delimit a certain set of records.

the only thing mentioned in the requirement is begda 01.01.2009 endda 31.12.2009 and the values. when i look at the table the begda is 01.01.2009 there as well but the endda is 31.12.9999.

For me to delimit, what date shd i enter?? shd i copy the records and change their end date to 31.12.2009 frm 31.12.9999 and delimit from 01.01.2009??

plz help at the earliest.

Hi,

Via which transaction are you accessing the table?

Does table has a view and can be accessed via SM30?

If you have a delimit button, just hit it and add the new date as 01.01.2010

However, if you don't have that button, just copy the existing entry with new begda 01012010 endda 31129999.

The older record should automatically have an end date 31.12.2009. If not change its end date manually.

yea, it can be accessed thru sm30.

i need the begda as 01.01.2009 and endda as 31.12.2009. however agsinst the record to be changed the begda already entered is 01.01.2009 and endda as 31.12.9999. i need to make it as 31.12.2009.

so, wot shd i enter in the start date which is promplted when i hit the delimit button

As I have mentioned in my previous message, enter it as "01.01.2010".

You will have a new entry 01012010 - 31129999.

This is the rationale of table delimit operation.

Hi,

The new record with begda should be '01.01.2010'. Your Old record needs to be delimited with date '31.12.2009'.

Is this a custom table or custom infotype?. If custom infotype, what is the time constraint?

You need to Check The time constraint for that infotype in T582A also kindly check

Every infotyp has Begin and end date

to delimit you have to go to >edit beside Command line Box Select the delimit

Before this you should know which infotype you want to delimit

Hope this helps
