Deletion of profit center

hi All,

I have created one profit center, Now I want to delete that profit center....How to delete the profit center?

Still we have not posted any data under that profit center.

Through T.Code KE52 I have changed the status to inactive & then through T.Code KEOD2 I am deleting the same inactive profit center. System is giving message "The following inactive master data was processed."

After deleting the same profit center when I am checking KE52 wheather that profit center got deleted or not, I am getting that the status of the same profit center has changed to Active.

Please help me out how to delete the profit center?

Hi,

Please go to the TCode KE54,give the name of the profit center and select the master data tab.

After that select the "mark for deletion flag" tab and lastly select the "activate" tab.

The profit center will be deleted if there is no data posted to that particular profit center.

It helped me to delete the profit centers.

But it is not allowing me to delete the dummy profit center with the same way.

Thanks for your early reply.

As per your 2nd queries,i feel there are posted data in the dummy profit center.

Its not possible to delete the dummy profit center,you can change the validity period of the dummy profit center in TCode KE52 only if there is no data posted to it.

No there is no data in the dummy profit center

System is giving me the error as follows

You cannot delete the master record of the profit center while Profit Center Accounting is active.

If Profit centre accounting is activated, you cannot delete the dummy profit centre.
