Some scope items have been activated but they are not required for the implementation. Can you advise us what to do with these? Do we need to confirm them in order to move to production? Do we leave them open or do we set them to complete?

As per SAP Note 3193214 (How to deactivate a scope item - https://me.sap.com/notes/3193214/E) , it is not possible to deactivate / delete any countries or scope bundles after activation.
Scope items are confirmed on completing the scoping milestone, as defined in this help doc - https://help.sap.com/docs/CENTRAL_BUSINESS_CONFIGURATION/55c9333eed324cd284f6c4e5dab8462f/9a80321874.... This should be done for the created "Implementation project" where the deployment target is maintained as the S/4HANA Cloud tenant.
