Delete purchase request

He previously opened a purchase request as an SAP user, but then quit his job and the purchase request is still open. There are so many examples like this, if I put a delete sign in the pencil to delete the purchase requisition I get an error "Requester field 'username' is invalid ! message number : ZMM_0001105 error.

ZMM message means it is custom message put in place -- now user who requested the PR is no longer there your custom validation (BADI or user exit) is failing on Requester field. I think of work around -- update the PR with requestor field with some valid user id -- and save the PR -- once updated then you i think would able to put the delete indicator as custom check will not fail if you have valid user id on the requestor field.

That is a Z-error i.e. custom / no standard one, generated by a custom validation specific to your system only. It looks like the validation logic doesn't consider the fact that people might quit their jobs.

You need to seek help of your IT dept or whoever developed that validation.
