Delete Profit Center

All,

I need to delete a profit center that has been created and never posted too. I accidentally saved it in active status when I created it. However I have changed the validity period to make inactive and then tried to delete. I have also tried to marki t for deletion and delete it in SPRO under delete inactive Profit center. However everytime I delete this profit center it changes the validity period to active and will not delete. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
