Delete Business Partner in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is not possible

Hallo,

we try to delete a Business Partner in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. At last step we use App "Manage Archiving Variants" to delete BP with object CA_BUPA. We already customized ILM and blocked Business Partner. Other BP have been already deleted.

For one Business partner we get error message "Relationship with Org Management "number of BP"". With app "Display BP relationship" we checked relationships but there is no more relationship.

What does error message "Relationship with Org Management" mean in this context?

Hi - I would recommend to create a support ticket - they would be able to check the system and any remaining relationships for the BP. Or check the CDS View for BP Relationship. Is it possible they have an employee record? do they have any transactions associated that you have not archived? postings, etc. Thank you Jerry

Hello Jerry, I can see in View Browser but not in Data Browser to check data. We do not use anlytics in our system. Looks like I have to create a support ticket.

If you can see it in the View Browser, you should be able to Create a Custom CDS View and then use that view in the Data Browser. You could also expose the custom cds view as a odata service api and call it from a tool like Postman.

Hello Jerry, I had the same idea, unfortunately I can't find the CDS view in the Custom CDS Views app when creating a CDS view. I have created a support Ticket because there is also no note or any community issue regarding this error message. I will write more information if I we get any solution. Thanks for your help. Hello Jerry, thank you for the hint. Now I could use CDS View and checked relationship of relevant Business Partners. But both have no relationship. So error message at deleting job does not makes sense. I still have no answer from SAP regarding this issue.

There could be some transactions or other data associated with the BP preventing the deletion.

thank you for your quick reply.

We do not think that created transactional data is a problem, as this was already queried and finalised by us when the work agreement was deleted. We were also able to delete business partners who had created postings in the system.

I try to find CDS View for BP Relationship but can not find for example I_BPRELATIONSHIP in our system. Can you name any other CDS View?

You have to do Show Filters, then change the Recommended View settings

Then you will see it

However, the Modeling Source is not checked. So there could be some restrictions to the CDS View usage. It may also need elevated rights as many BP CDS Views do for privacy compliance. I did a quick Preview with just the BP Relationship 2 view, it has warnings, but the Preview Data shows some data.
