Define New Additional Currency for New Company Code in Productive System

Hi,

I've found many notes and forums that says that we are not supposed to be defining new additional currency for a productive system but what about for a new company code? Since there are no transactions done for the new company code, will the new additional local currency cause any issue to the existing company code's transactions?

Thank you in advance. Would appreciate if someone can shed some light here.

Hi Lily,

Theoretically, if without any transaction done in the new company code (let say company code A), you can add new additional LC to that company code A. It should not be issue for that company. To be safe you can check with sap.

If you have concern about whether by adding additional LC to company code A will impact other existing company code. For sure it will not impact other company code because OB22 is at company code level.
