Default Company Code in S/4HANA Public Cloud Organization Structure

Hi Community,

We are doing the initial set up of a new Development box in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. While trying to confirm, we have got an error to define a Default Company Code. After some research, it's clear for us a company code must be defined as default, however it is not clear what is the functional impact of a default company code not if it would possible to change to another company code in the future. Also, is there any relation between this default company code and the one each user can define in her/his own setting?

Hello @Guanyo ,

I guess you encountered that question in setting up the org structure in CBC. Don't worry about that.

In your S/4HANA system, for example, the Dev system, under your profile, there is a Setting for company code. You can see the attached screenshot.  That setting does matter to the user at the end.
