Decentralized manage asset procurement initiation and retirement

Hi Expertise，

I have a requirement to decentralized management to initial asset purchase requisition and asset retirement。 For initiate purchase requisition， it would be wasting asset master number that haven't approved cases; and the raising request to retirement the fixed asset like Equipements and Tools from Production Users also required approval before scrap / write-off and retire from fixed asset module. May I get your option is it available for standard public cloud customer ? If so, which process number for our reference ? Thanks a lot in advance.

From the S/4 accounting side, fixed asset with created status can be deleted, but the number is skipped when creating next asset master.

Fixed asset description can be modified, for the initial purchase requisition, a generic fixed asset description may be entered, when approved , you could manually change the description.

There is no standard workflow process to handle asset retirement in S/4HANA Cloud.

You may also consider:

-APIs for side by side extensibility

-Workflow process outside S/4HANA system

Hi Andes:

For initiate purchase requisition:  the asset number is a mandatory field to be entered If you use the standard fixed asset procurement process which means the Account Assignment is set to A.
