Deactivation date in an AuC

Good day!

How do we automatically get a "Deactivation on" date in an Asset under Construction after a full settlement of an order (KO88)?

Transaction ABAVN doesn't work here.

Regards,

Marianne.

Dear Marianne,

This how the deactivation in settlement process goes -

Once the asset under construction has been completely settled (there are no more values in any depreciation areas), the system automatically deactivates the asset under construction. You can switch off this automatic deactivation using an indicator in the definition of transaction types 340/345.

Request you to please check your settings in AO76 for T.Type 340 & 345. In details check whether the Deactivate fixed asset checkbox is Ticked for both T.Types. Here the system recognizes to deactivate the AuC asset after FULL settlement.

I hope this helps you to solve your issue. If you have any doubts feel free to share - you are welcome.

Dear Pankaj A Bhalerao,

Everything in our system is like you described, we have got the needed ticks.

I think it's better to send this issue to SAP.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

AUC is a type of a project as soon as you settle the AUC to main asset system automatically deactivate the AUC asset.Which mean you have already settle the AUC so no more entry required.

If you want to have more posting in AUC then you have to create the New AUC or try to reverse the Settlement document.

Shayam, everything is OK with settling the AUC to main asset. But we want to put a Deactivation Date in the AUC and cannot find a way to do that.

Hi,

System automatically enter the deactivation date in AUC you will find that field as03 in General Data 'Deactivation on'

Hope i am giving the correct answer for your question.

Shayam, do we need to make any special adjustments to get the deactivation date? Because now the date doesn't fill in automatically.

For example, when we sell or retire an asset - everything is OK and the date fills in.

But when we work with AuC the date doesn't fill in.

Hi,

It is a standard process as soon as you settle the AUC and FI document get posted system will fill in the Deactivation on field.

I am not sure why your system so not updating that.

Kindly log out and log in again and check.

If not solved send this issue to SAP then.

Shayam
