Deactivate Group Reporting Preparation Ledger

Dear all,

we are facing issue with preparation ledger. 

We have only SAP companies but the preparation ledger doesn't work and no data are released from ACDOCA to ACDOCU. 

Is it possibile to deactive the group reporting prepraration ledger? is there any workaround on that? only using flexible upload file?

hello @VMSAPExplorer63, Please note that deactivation is not a viable solution in your case. GRPL is now a fully matured solution, and customers implementing Central Finance or S/4HANA Finance have realized its significant value-add benefits.

Furthermore, all current and future innovations are based on the GRPL concept. We recommend consulting your SAP Account Manager to validate your design with the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) or Services experts.

Please review the following checklist:

1. Ensure that FS items are correctly mapped to GL accounts and the Chart of Accounts (CoA).
2. Activate all standard GRPL substitution rules.
3. Confirm that the Consolidation Unit master data is set up for real-time integration.

You need to create customer incident to SAP and explain the reason why you need to deactivate or postpone the GRPL. And there might be couple of additional steps required such as changes to consolidation unit definition once SAP support agrees and deactivates the GRPL via the incident communication channel. Have you already read the OSS notes 3412034 and 3234878? In these notes, you can find the reasons for issues regarding preparation ledger and release from ACDOCA to ACDOCU.

Hi VMSAPExplorer,

once the preparation ledger has been activated you can not deactivate it by yourself, as far as I am aware only SAP can deactivate it for you.
