Hi,
In the DDMRP theory, Carol and Chad propose a Prioritized Share capability to allocate scarce quantities of inventory. They call it Coverage Optimization. Does this capability exist in SAP S/4?
For example, in the case below, when the total requirements > Supplier capacity… is there a way in S4 to redistribute the available units available to replenish all to TOY first and the TOG, or to leave all buffers at a similar % level?

Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
The scenario described is very simplistic assuming:
If you consider that the replenishment run can be plant specific, that the material is not buffered in all plants, and that the (preferred) supplier can differ by plant (which all can be modelled in S/4), the scenario becomes quite complex to handle in business terms.
There is no such prioritized share consideration in SAP S/4HANA Demand-Driven Replenishment taking supplier constraints into consideration.
