Date of Manufacturing in SAP EWM Inbound delivery of a purchase order

Hello SAP Experts,

If minimum remaining Shelf life data is maintained in the master data for of Batch managed product then system expects the DOM in the GR. If the shelf life data is not maintained then DOM is not expected in the delivery.

The problem is if the DOM is not maintained in /scwm/prdi then we get the Queue error.
I do not want to make the field as mandatory in delivery profile because for the products where Shelf life data is not maintained business do not want to enter the DOM.  

Is there a standard way to not allow GR posting if shelf life data is maintained in the master data until DOM is entered in EWM inbound delivery ? or Is there a way to copy the GR date as DOM date at time of GR if user do not enter the SLED/DOM in /scwm/prdi ?

Alternate solution can be to create custom class  "Class for Field check" and assign it in incompleteness profile.

You can activate this check in SPRO node- LE>SCM EWM>Goods receipt process>Inbound delivery>Batch management and remaining shelf life check in inbound delivery. > check bbd/SLED > Block item  and manual release possible.
