Data from Virtual Element not getting fetched into OData API

We have implemented a logic in Custom CDS view to fetch Purchase order item text & Material PO text through Virtual Elements. But when we are Checking data in Odata API, virtual element data is not getting fetched.

We are using Std CDS for reference - I_PURCHASEORDERITEMNOTETP_2

Please help us & guide ! thanks !

Dear Junwn,

  I have created a custom cds based on Purchase Order and Line Items, now i wanted to read the long text from  i_purchaseorderitemnotetp_2 using join so i have create the virtual element on this cds  i_purchaseorderitemnotetp_2 and get the long text. 

i have generated the service by service definition and binding and i have created the communication user to use API in BTP  but when i check xml i am not able to get the long text in the API so the virtual element is not returning long text in API 
i need help to get the long text in API using Virtual element.

i want to read long text of PO how can i do that as it not permitting me to join in cds
