Data Element Name Changes between CDS views #COE #Supreme

Hello Experts,

I'm wondering if there is a resource available that will help me to sort out Data Element Name changes between applications and different CDS views.

For example:

In the sales order, I have a header Requested Delivery Date:  KETDAT  &  First Date (a.k.a. Delivery Date in the Procurement tab on the sales order and Delivery Date in the Schedule Line tab in the item details = Schedule Line Date) ETDAT

In the CDS view: C_SalesDocumentSchedLineDEX I don't have either KETDAT or ETDAT, but I do have EDATU and REQD_DELIVERY_DATE:

but in I_SalesDocumentScheduleLine I have EDATU named as Requested Delivery Date:

In the Confirmation of Sales Orders - Query - C_SlsOrdConfAnlytsQry, I have Requested Delivery Date:

Same with Predicted Delivery Delay - C_SlsDocItemPrdtdDelivDelay:

and same in Sales Order Fulfillment Issues - C_SlsDocFlfmtIssue:

Just trying to sort out the sales order header dates vs. the line item dates when working with CDS views - any tips?

To follow up, in C_SalesDocumentSchedLineDEX, we also have a couple of other fields sharing the EDATU Data Element Name - ConfdSchedLineReqdDelivDate & ConfirmedDeliveryDate

Hi Sarah,

I don't think there is any published document or a report available that can help to highlight the changes in data elements. The only option I see is to use the description field.

sai Thanks for your reply. Do you think that it would be reasonable to submit a request to ask that the line item dates be distinguished from the header dates? I can try 🙂
