Customer/Vendor Data getting removed when creating it via a Business Partner Transaction

Dear Community,

I am currently experience a weird behavior in my system. When user create a new Business Partner in the System and afters add the new role customer/vendior, it created a customer/vendor with all the information entered in transaction BP. At the creation all data exists properly. But after 5-15 minutes data is getting removed from the customer/vendor. In my particular case the field KNA1-STCEG is getting removed:

The most important thing to notice is the entry at 11:23:10. It says that XD02 was called but my users confirms that they didn't made those changes.

From developers side at first I thought a Userexit or BAdI was implemented which were interfering but after analysis I couldn't find anything suspicious. Then I started checking if external services like IDoc/Web/PO were updating the cusomter/vendor but couldn't find again, nothing. At last if any job was running, again nothing.

So as I couldn't find anything from technical perspective, I search from a process point of view and found that we were migrating our Customer/Vendor Data into the BP via the Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI).

My question now, could it be possible that somehow something was wrong configured that it is now messing with the synchronization? Because the Field STCEG is still correct in the Business Partner, just being removed in the customer data.

This issue could potentially be caused by incorrect tax categories being used in the BP transaction.

I would suggest looking into this SAP note to see if this is applicable to your scenario

Hi Luis,

thank you so much for your time and help. I don't think this is the issue here as when creating the customer via BP the Tax number is correctly in the field STCEG. Only after a certain time, like 1-2 min, the Tax number is getting removed from the field. As a developer for me that feels like an customer development which is interfering at the creation but I couldn't find any development.

Thats why my eyes are now on the CVI as it could be wrongfully configured and is now trying to match BP and KNA1 and is interfering.

It is also very hard to analyze as is it not possible to reproduce the issue on test system.
