Customer Returns stock in Quality Inspection

Hello,

while testing scope item BDD (customer returns), through default item category CBEN, with order type Lean return (CBRE), after Good Receipt, stock is posted as unrestricted.
Is there a different item category or order type to be used to received stock in QI (Quality Inspection) or in return stock as indicated by the scope item?

Thanks and regards

Daniele

Hi Daniele

if you want to highlight inspection process in your return end to end process, you can consider the Accelerated Customer Returns business process (BKP scope item) .

https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/scopeitems/BKP.

with BKP , for good receipt in return delivery process, the default return stock used is blocked stock. Then you need to perform further inspection for your returned material and set logistic follow up activities upon your inspection result.

Best Regards,

Bin

Thanks Bin,

Accelerated Customer Return requires management of the inspection lot for the received stock. We are not planning to activate this part of the flow, as preferred option is to manage stock at MM level without using any QM apps and integration.

Is there any other available set up, that allows to post the stock received back from a customer in a restricted status (blocked or quality inspection or return)? And subsequently change it into un-restricted status via MM movement type?

On the on premise version, such result could be achieved assigning a return item category with schedule lines configured with movement type (e.g. 651 or 655 or 657); haven't found such possibility on the cloud version. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks a lot.

Hi Luca

If you check the BKP test script, for inspection part,

1. Log on to the SAP Fiori launchpad as a Receiving Specialist. - you need to get this role assgined if with your user.

2. Open Enter Inspection Results - From Warehouse (MSR_INSPWH). - At this moment, I think this is not integrated with QM directly.

3. Here you can do a simple inspection , and you can decide how to handle the material from logistic perspective after you assign the inspection code.
