Customer return into WM

Dear experts,

can someone tell me the regular SAP standard return process including WM?

I try this but it semmes not to work as I would expect it.

Here my steps:

  1. Create return sales order as reference to completed sales order
  2. Create return delivery based on return order. Storage location in return delivery is WM activated
  3. Post GR for return delivery
  4. GR qty is shown in blocked stock (MMBE)
  5. Transfer posting using movment type 343
  6. Now I see the qty in unrestricted stock in MMBE and in WM but twice in LS24:

In MMBE I see the qty, but LS24 shows two lines.

One with positive qty and one with negative qty. and Stock Category in the Warehouse Management System = S - Blocked stock.

So the sum is 0,00 what is wrong in my opinion.

What is the regular process for this and how can I get the qty to 250 KG in Wm like I have it in IM (MMBE)?

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards

Patrick

Hello Patrick,

What you see is the correct process. When you post GR, positive and negative quants are generated in WM. I can see you have blocked stock as S. This is because, the schedule line category of return sales order has movement type 651 which by default moves the stock in blocked Stock.

Since in your case,651 movement is used as stock is in blocked stock, you need to move it unrestricted use stock. While doing this, system will create a posting change which you need it process it by LU04, confirm TO.

The negative quant suggests you do an extra processing in WM to remove it.So, after 343 (S to unres),you need to conduct additional work which is processing of Posting change. When you post 343, stock category is changed in IM, however, WM doesnt.

Or to avoid this case, you can assign movement type 653 in your return sales order schedule line category, this way extra work of Processing Posting change will be avoided.

For posting change, please check below link.

Hi Shailesh,

Many thanks! I found now that there is an open Posting Change Notice.

I tried to process this in LB12 but get the message "Select at least one storage type first"

Message no. L3284

This seems to be missing customizing.

Can you tell me where I find the setting in SPRO to define a list of storage types for this process?

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards

Patrick
