Customer Info Records – VD51/52/53 / Fiori App F2499

Hi guys,

In the SAP GUI additional customer materials can be created with field entries like "Customer material number" + "Customer description" (--> Customer info records / T-code VD51/52/53). The customer description field is not declared as a mandatory field in the SAP GUI.

Fiori; Field Control

Compared with the corresponding Fiori App F2499 I would now assume that the field "Customer description of material" is also here an optional field. But, with the Fiori App the customer material description is declared as  mandatory. Is there a special reason for this? How can the settings be adjusted?
