Custom field with multiline in S4 public cloud-key user extensibility

Hi,

I have created a custom field with length as 500 characters in S4 public cloud using key user extensibility. However when I enabled the field in SAP Gui screen, I am getting a single line text input field. I need this to be multiline textbox as 500 characters are long. 

Can some one advise how to create multi line custom text field using key user extensibility in S4 Cloud or S4 public cloud.

I might be missing something, but are you sure this is the right approach?

① You mentioned "S4 public cloud using key user extensibility". In the very next statement, you mentioned "enabled the field in SAP Gui screen"⚠️S/4 Public Cloud isn't accessible via SAP GUI screen.

② If in-fact you are using SAP Gui screen via WebGUI, then, Gui doesn't inherently support Multi-line fields. It uses Text controls (and associated extra logic) to display Multi-line fields. So, you can't add a Multi-line field to a Gui screen, just be dragging and dropping.

③ Most business contexts have size limits on how much you can extend. If you use up 500 characters in just one field, that can hurt you in the future. So, re-check the real need for such a long field extension and try to find another solution for your problem (and, there are always other solutions)

Hi Shabir,

Can you try and see if you can modify how the custom field appears on the GUI screen using screen personas? FYI you will be able to resize the field for webGUI screens using personas.

thanks Prashant. Even if i resize, when i edit it, it gives works like one line inout field
