Custom analytical query: cannot use parameter P_DisplayCurrency (VDM_V_DISPLAY_CURRENCY)

Hi Colleagues,

Problem:

I am trying to create a custom analytical query that will display measures converted to the display currency. But it does not allow me to use the built-in parameter P_DisplayCurrency.

Details:

I use SAP-delivered CDS view I_BillingDocumentItemCube ("Analytics - Sales Volume Cube"). It contains built-in parameters:

• Display Currency: P_DisplayCurrency of type VDM_V_DISPLAY_CURRENCY

• Exchange Rate Type: P_ExchangeRateType of type KURST

Now, I need to create a Converted Measure that converts e.g. Net Value into display currency using billing document date.

I create a Converted Measure and try to select Target Currency from the parameter P_DisplayCurrency. This parameter is visible in the Value Help For Target Currency. However, when I select this parameter, I cannot press OK to confirm.

The other parameter, P_ExchangeRateType, is not visible for Converted Measure at all.

Hi. Did you ever figure out a way around this problem? I have exactly the same issue. Not able to choose a parameter even though it is visible in the list
