Hi experts,

I am looking to have the CU50 in internal tables. For several days, I have been trying to debug standard looking for a function or other which will give me what I need but I can't find anything.
I want from my material and the characteristics values and the variant cost :

All components associated with the hierarchy and their amount.

But I am still blocked. I can't have the same result than CU50. I have to much lines compare to CU50 result.

I try to debug CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 during CU50 and copy the input in my program function.

-> I have to much line and I don't know how to retrieve my costs based on my costing variant.

That would be easier to enhance CU50 to export the calculated data and batch input CU50.

I think you misunderstood what I meant.
I used the folllowing MF:

CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2

in order to have the same result than CU50. But the table from CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 return too much lines

To be clear, I don't know the answer how to get "material and the characteristics values and the variant cost" from CU50 via SAP function modules, but in your situation, to find quickly a maintainable solution, I would look at the ABAP technologies that all ABAP developers should know, which are the display (Tree Control and the ABAP List (WRITE)) and Batch Input. I see that Batch Input is possible in CU50, here: https://community.sap.com/t5/application-development-and-automation-blog-posts/bdc-for-cu51-cu50/ba-.... If Batch Input is not possible due to the Tree Control, I would deactivate its display via enhancement. I don't understand why "dynamic tables" would be too complex to read, but at the same time you're able to duplicate the complex logic of CU50. Let's see if you can get some help from CU50 experts.

Good news. Which option made SHDB work, "continue after commit" or "simulate as no batch input"? You may enhance CU50 to export the internal tables which correspond to what is displayed in the screen. A good solution to trigger the export would be to define a ZZEXPORTDATA function code which you trigger via batch input. You may store the data in a new Z database table or whatever you want.

I used the 2 options. "Continue after commit" alone doesn't work but the option "not BI Session" allows me to implement my SHDB until the end.
the problem is when I select my characteristics. I can do it when I record but we cannot see it in the generated code. Some characteristics can have multiple values.
This is the last obstacle. For the rest I understood :
I need to create an enhancement allowing me to store the values I want in a Z table. Then I read my data from the table after the call transaction.

I don't understand that SHDB doesn't record what you type in the table control of characteristics of the dynpro SAPLCEI0 1400, if I understand well the problem. Anyway, you should be able to fill out yourself the batch input table (BDCDATA). Tell me if you have any issue with filling it.

I implemented an enhancement to retrieve my data in the end of CU50. (LCKDIO33 in the end of PERFOM fill_costgrid_table ).

All data that I need are inserted into a Z table (in the enhancement).

But the SHDB does not allow me to make the calculation of the CU50 and therefore does not allow me to go through my enhancement and therefore does not record any entry in my Z table.

I tried to play with all options of the SHDB -> without success

Can you please help me.

You say "the SHDB does not allow me to make the calculation of the CU50", it's meaningless saying that "it doesn't work", what is important is to say what's different in SHDB of CU50 versus CU50.

CU50, I choose my Kmat, my plant. On the second screen, I choose my characteristics and values. On the third screen, I choose my costing variant. Then I validate. SAP takes a certain time to calculate and then displays the result.

In SHDB, I am able to record all my screens up to the end of CU50. Then I create the program from this recording. When I execute this recording via the program, the execution is very fast, too fast, and my Z table is not populated. So I decide to run my program in the foreground. And then I think it can't get past the moment of choosing the characteristics and their values. No matter the option chosen and the reading mode, I can't get past the screen for choosing the characteristics and associated values. Can you please help me?

First of all, CALL TRANSACTION USING returns two parameters, sy-subrc and a table of messages (MESSAGES INTO). What do they contain? Also, is there a difference when running in display mode 'N' versus 'A'?

after the call transaction in mode N, I have a subrc = 1001. Here is the return message:

(No batch input data for screen & &)

When I launch the program in mode A, I have a screen-by-screen execution, I can't get past the screen where I select my characteristics and the associated values:

S 00344 : No batch input data for screen SAPLCEI0 0109. That's a screen with title "Configuration: Batch Input". Could you run Batch Input CU50 with the option NOBINPT = 'X' please?

I'm stuck on one last point.
I don't think I'm in the right enhancement to get the information from the CU50.
I get my BOM back but I don't have the hierarchy. Do you have an idea please ?

How is the hierarchy displayed? Screenshot and dynpro number please?

As for me, I created an enhancement in the include LCKDIO33 at the end of the form fill_costgrid_table.

I read the table t_kis1_temp but it does not give me a hierarchy.

Thanks. For dynpro, you may use the debugger, you may switch any debugger tool with Special tool > Dynpro analysis, it shows the hierarchy of dynpros, subscreens, controls, etc. I would appreciate that you share a screenshot of this hierarchy (EDIT: showing program names and dynpro numbers).

The left tree is probably in a docking container (CL_GUI_DOCKING_CONTAINER). If I look at CKDI function group, I can find bomr_container which displays a tree = instance BOMRTREE of type CL_STRUCTURE_EXPLOSION_TREE. In the method CONSTRUCTOR, there's MR_ALV_TREE of type CL_GUI_ALV_TREE. The data is added via the method ADD_BOM_SUBTREE, which fills the internal table MT_OUTPUT_TABLE one line at a time. Note that we can see a test if SY-BATCH is initial, I guess that it's a very good idea to run the batch input with a display mode which sets SY-BATCH = 'X' (D, H, Q or S, which are the respective counterparts of modes A, E, N or P, the difference between the two groups being the initialization of sy-batch)

About the short dump RAISE_EXCEPTION due to the missing catch of KEKO_NOT_FOUND, check the SAP Notes. If they don't solve, make sure that you are testing with the exact same data as in the manual run. About the dynpro, I feel that it's dynpro SAPLCKDI 4623, module FILL_COSTGRID, so it's the internal table gt_costblock. Please try searching and reading standard SAP code by yourself, it's not very difficult to find all this information.

I got it. Regarding the dump, I'm going to search an OSS note. Indeed, when the call transaction is launched in batch=X, I have a dump while the program provides for this batch = X.

Regarding the herearchies of screens, I honestly didn't know this option. There she is:

The problem is that when I view my CU50 report, I then have to click on the indicated button of an arrow to display the table I want. The question is whether it is possible to retrieve these values after my call transaction (so without clicking on this button...)

I forgot to say that you should record again CU50, but with the option "Simulate Background Mode" selected, this way you'll run CU50 with SY-BATCH = X while recording. If it doesn't do a short dump, use the recorded BDCDATA in your program.

Concerning the screen you show, you are saying that you're interested by the data below the screen SAPLCKDI 4623, which is in the subscreen area DATA_EXT_S. Your screenshot of the Debugger Screen Analysis doesn't show it (SAPLSEXM 0200 = empty screen). Run Screen Analysis again after the subscreen inside DATA_EXT_S is shown (any dynpro which is not SAPLSEXM 0200). Note that this screen is managed by an implementation of BAdI DYNPRO_EXTENSION_CK.
