Hello Abhijeet,

Please check Dr. Oliver Frick's comment. He offers answer to your question.

Hello Abhijeet,

the scope items for Customer Service in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition are available on the SAP Best Practice Explorer https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/browse/categories/sap_s%254hana/areas/cloud/packageversions/BP_CLD_ENTPR/..., e.g. Service Order Management and Monitoring (‏3D2‏), Service Contract Management (‏3MO‏) and many more.

However note that the Customer Service process in S/4HANA Cloud is a new process with new objects, different from the CS module in ECC. Objects like Equipment and Functional Location are still there, but there is a new org model, new work order, different billing (no DIP!).

A Customer Service process closer to CS including concepts of DIP, Work Center, Activity Types, etc. is available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition and on-premise, see e.g. scope item https://rapid.sap.com/bp/scopeitems/6AU for Corrective Maintenance Service.

Kind regards, Oliver

@Dequan Xu / @o.frick

I just read this article and check the scenario Corrective Maintenance Service, but I am a little confused because i expected

o has the same and current scenario that s4HANA Cloud Services, it is means, to deploy the Recurring Services (4X5) as maintenance service plan, but I see that the 6AU is a blend of PM and CS/Service, even the old object like Activity type, DIP and others exist as you mentioned, so my questions are:

Why there is differences between Private and Public in that escenario, is it continuing with the old process in the current ECC? and What will be the right one to follow in the future?

I would think that the Private edition contains the most innovative scenario, could you please clarify?

Thank you

Hi Efrain,

Let me try to answer your questions one by one:

- Why is there a difference between Private and Public in that scenarios? The two cloud options have different target customers: Public Cloud is particularly addressing new implementations, while Private Cloud is targeting existing implementations with typically more complexity and legacy processes and technologies

- Is (6AU) continuing with the old process in the current ECC? It is a mix of the classic capabilities for service execution (PM Order, Maintenance Plan, Task Lists, ...) and the new capabilities for service selling (Service Order, Service Contract). This will help existing CS customers to more easily migrate to S/4HANA Service.

- What will be the right one to follow in the future? Both will continue to exist in the future. The decision for the one or other depends on the complexity and need of your service process. We recommend to use the standard Service Order (SRVO) and only use the more complex option (6AU) if you need these advanced capabilities.

Kind regards, Oliver
