CROSS PLANT STORAGE LOCATION GRN ISSUE FOR PRODUCTION ORDER.

As I am implementing a fastener manufacturing process, I have 3 plants: A, B, and C. The business requirement is to follow an MTO (Make-to-Order) process across all three plants. For this, the sales order is created in plant C. After that, MRP Live is scheduled in plant C.

Post-MRP, planned orders are created in all three plants using special procurement key 80 (Production in Alternative Plant) for semi-finished goods (SFGs) that are to be manufactured in plants A and B. Once the planned order in plant C is converted, corresponding planned orders are automatically created in the other plants.

Production order creation and release in each plant are working fine as per the defined process. However, during confirmation, after the material issue, the stock is being generated in the planning plant (plant C), not in the production plant (plant A or B). This is standard behavior when using special procurement key 80.

As per the business requirement, the physical locations of the plants are far from each other, so the client wants to transfer the material using the STO (Stock Transport Order) process.

How can this requirement be achieved?

Hello

In this case, special procurement 80 won't be the best solution. You should use a Stock Transfer special procurement type, so that MRP generates stock transfers and the production order in the production plant.

Hi @Caetano, Thanks for your solution. Based on the solution, I have run the process, but after the MRP run, plants A & B are generating only purchase requisitions (PR), and planned orders are only generating in 3 plant's . Till now it is working fine but i am facing the challenge that the quantities which are generating in plants A & B are not generating exact required quantity. I am not getting solution on this, can you help me on this. 
For example  my FG product is SO qty is 100, after planning all the SFG qty's should plan 100 but it is creating different different qty's. I am using Strategy- 20 in planning plant for FG material and special key as 45 (in public cloud 40 is not available).  For your reference i am attaching the images also.
