Cross dock inbound goods with critical supply situation for outbound delivery

Dear experts,

In our company we have the need to see the following: Sales orders and the already created delivery can have a critical situation in supply, due to for example delayed inbound shipments. What we would like to do is identify which products have a critical supply situation and which sales orders/deliveries are impacted. Subsequently we need to identify the Purchase orders/Inbound deliveries that contain these critical materials and ensure that we cross dock/speed dock them when the arrive, to ensure complete and timely delivery.

Question is: Is there a transaction/FIORI app or Smart Business cockpit to see these Sales Orders or Outbound deliveries with a critical supply situation. And is there any way to see which Purchase orders/Inbound deliveries contain these critical articles?

We would like to see critical products in Production as well.

We are using: SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8 SoH and SAP TM 9.5.

Hi Sjaak,

Valid point especially in a Covid time. I assume in case of external procurement you have a PO and then ASN created with expected delivery date. Second assumption is that you need to receive somehow info about the delay of delivery and enter it to referenced IDN. In this case ATP check or v_v2 for backorder processing should give you a standard solution. For a speed dock perhaps GR to different storage location ?
