Creation of a new edition prior to the year end.

Hi experts,

I have few doubts regarding the cost center master data and editions working in SAP. I am new to finance model so I would really appreciate your help with this.

1. If I create new edition for new year for cost centers How it will affect the cost centers and cost center hierarchy? Will we have to add manually cost centers to the hierarchy after the 2024 edition is created?

2. What other points should I be concerned about when adding new edition?

Hi

Not sure, if I understand correctly. Did you mean changing the standard hierarchy? You can change existing hierarchy, but you cannot assign a new standard hierarchy for a controlling area, if there are already cost centres created

You could create alternative hierarchy using KSH1.
