Creating PIR for pMRP

I have created PIR for pMRP.

If I run MD01 this will be considered for MRP right?

Then what is the point of releasing the plan in process pMRP app?

Or am I understanding it wrongly?

Hello

You can create Inactive PIRs (uncheck the Active button), so that they are not relevant for MRP before you run pMRP and validate if your forecast is feasible. You can make changes in your demand plan in pMRP, and then release the PIRs when you are done.

I used these check box in Schedule pMRP app to use the Inactive PIR.
While releasing I have made this as active.
