Creating Freight unit stages for TM public cloud

Default routes are not available in public cloud TM. In the transporation cockpit you have the possibility to plan on freight unit stages but you don't have the option to split using default routes or to merge or split freight unit stages. 

Due to not being able to split in freight unit stages it is not possible to create a transportation plan. For 1 sales order, splitting the FU 1 one stage to the port and 1 stage to the end customer and then for one stage create a freight order for the road transport and then create a freight booking for the sea transport.

We support the transport planning process with Freight Booking and Pick-Up Freight Order. If you just want to plan the pick-up of the container, you do not need to split the freight unit stage, but you can create a Pick-Up Freight Order directly from the Freight Booking.

Additionally, you can have a look at Scope Item 6W2 – Manual Transportation Planning. In the Test Script, you can look at steps 4.3 (specifically 4.3.4.) for Ocean or 4.4. (specifically 4.4.4) for Air.

Hi, Does SAP public cloud support the external planning of freight bookings, or is this only supported for freight orders? Meaning is it possible to have a trasnportation plan (multiple stages) when working with an external planning tool in public cloud

Hello Lise, no external planning for freight bookings (air/ocean) is not supported.
