We explored the Predefined YCOA that is in Public Cloud, however we can't adopt this Operating Chart as we have a very specific Industry COA. We know we can create a new COA in Cloud but how does that impact the Account Determination behind the scenes ? as currently all account determination is based on YCOA. Would we need to create from scratch all Account Determination or is there a more automated way through bots or accelerators? ( Examples of Account determination = OBYC, VKOA in previous On premise )
Thanks

Hello olivier-van,
You must use YCOA for daily postings; this can not be changed. You can renumber standard accounts or create new accounts (copy existing ones) to fit YCOA to your needs. There is no automated or easy way to adjust Account Determination. Automatic determination will be automatically adjusted if you use the renumbering function of the YCOA. If you create a new account, you must manually set a new one in the appropriate automatic determination process.

Hi Nata, thanks, we know it's technically possible to create a new COA on Public Cloud besides YCOA, but I guess the overhead to create from scratch all the account determination would be too much and not advisable?
Converting YCOA seems to be the most efficient way to benefit from the pre-delivered settings
Hello Oliver,
Both options are possible and supported. In certain cases, standard accounts may not cover all your requirements, and you might have to create new ones. Before renumbering, it is crucial to analyze and map the standard account to your CoA. Each option has its advantages and disadvantages, so you must weigh them carefully before deciding which is better suited to your needs. However, creating new accounts can be a more time-consuming process, but on the other hand, analyzing standard also needs much time and attention - it's not revertable.
