Create app like post cash journal in s/4 hana cloud

Hi,

I have a requirement for an app that is basically the post cash journal app but with some modifications.

Is there anyway to copy the pre existing post cash journal app to a new one and add the intended changes to it or do I have to build the app from scratch?

Can you please provide more details which app / RAP business object / OData service you are referring to?

You can check if the changes you want to perform can be done using the so called Key User Tools and whether this app is enabled for these tools.

Alternatively it might be possible to used ADT and developer extensibility.

In other words, if we were talking about a SAP on-premise system I would want to add additional fields to the screen of the transaction FBCJ. But since my system is not on-premise but cloud I want to add additional fields to the post cash journal app or create a copy of that app and add the additional fields

I am checking SAP internally what can be done here.

From a documentation perspective it seems that the app is not extensible since there is no Extensibility section in the SAP Fiori Apps Library Entry for FBCJ

Thank you for your response.

It seems then, that if we want to have some changes to the post cash journal app we will need to build it from scratch.

It does not seem viable to try to replicate a standard app without being able to copy it. Please let me know what are your thoughts about this.

Hello rubensantos,

Please refer below SAP help link. This App has functionality of Save and Post. After saving you can modify your inputs and then post. Hope it's solve the problem.

I have double-checked with our development team.

1. The app is unfortunately not extensible. (If it would be extensible you would find an appropriate section in the description of the app as you find it for the Manage SalesOrder Fiori app.

2. In S/4HANA Cloud, there is unfortunately also no C1-released API available that you could use.
