Hi experts
This is a simple requirement. I created an extension field .. 'Maximum Stock' level. Want to show this in a report on Materials. I hope I have to create a new Key Figure(KF). How to create?
In short, if some values are to be added in a report and there are no KF created by SAP.
Thanks

Hi both,
Thanks for your inputs. I tried but unable to see the value against the extension field for a sample material. I followed the steps and able to get into 'adapt' under the data source but the result I get when I run the report is only the product ID and not the maximum quantity level set in the material master. The relevant screenshots are attached
Hope I will not be able to create a key figure as this is an extension filed but the field char is not text
Can you please help?

Dear thiagarajan,
If you have created the extension field via UI then you can enter the adapt mode and add that specific field in data source under reporting tab.
By default few data source as per business context will appear there and then you can add that extension field to data source. If there are no data source, then you can not add that extension field to data source/report.
Once you add that extension field to data source, you can find the same in data source and the reports created on top of that data source. You don't have to create new KF.
Please check and let us know if there are any further concerns.

Saurav Kumar
