Correct the Customizing settings for ledgers for the universal journal? Message no. FINS_ACDOC_CUST201?

Posting period variant is empty (ledger I2/company code 5000)

Posting period variant is empty (ledger NL/company code 5000)

Posting period variant is empty (ledger TE/company code 5000).

Getting above error while posting document from all the T codes like FB01,F-01,FB50,FB02 etc.

There may be many reasons for the error.We can check the issue in multiple ways. Few Iam specifying here.

1.Goto OBBP Tcode and check whether posting period variant is assigned to comp code or not.

2.Check OBY6 And check whether posting period variant is there or not.

3.Goto Tcode FINSC_LEDGER.

Open the error messages and see the error Ledger types.

Posting period variant is empty (ledger I2/company code 5000)

Posting period variant is empty (ledger NL/company code 5000)

Posting period variant is empty (ledger TE/company code 5000)..

Select the Ledger and click on company code settings for the ledger .

Click on continue.

Click on Position button .Enter company code

Maintain the posting period variant of your company code and save.

Or

If you don't want to use this Ledger you can delete your company code from this Ledger list and save.

Note: You can only assign accounting principles that are in scope in your company code:

All local accounting principles of the countries in scope ([XX]AP)

IFRS, if you do your financial reporting according to IFRS

USGP, if you do your financial reporting according to US-GAAP

You cannot create your own accounting principles.

Follow the same Procedure for other Ledger's as well.
