Hi,

There is no direct way to do this. You can try the following work-around:

  1. Open an Excel sheet.
  2. In the Excel sheet, change the cell format of all cells to 'Text'
  3. Open the Purchase Request
  4. Open a new Goods Issue
  5. On the Purchase Request, right-click on the rows, and select 'Copy table' from the pop-up menu.
  6. Go the Excel sheet and paste the data in there
  7. In Excel select only the Item numbers, and copy them
  8. Switch back to the Goods Issue, and paste in the 'Item No.' column. The items will now get added there.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the 'Required Qty.' column.
  10. If necessary repeat steps 7 and 8 for any other relevant columns.
  11. If you want you can use the 'Referenced Document' button to create a link between the Purchase Request and the Goods Issue. If you want, you can do this on both.

Regards,

Johan

You can use either excel as a medium to copy data between pircahse request and good issu or use an add-on like Boyum B1UP  for customisation.

Another workaround is to have approval process on goods issue, user A can create the document and user B can approve and add the document in this way user A can be considered as requestor.

Hi wale_adegbola,

Since no option is provided for it, I do not think that there is an option to link it.

Kind regards,

Thanks for your response. But i want to know if there is always a way to see if it can be linked together.
