copy project without costs

I am trying to change the costs of a project but it seems like there are "fixed" already after some confirmations happened along the project.

I want to find a solution for this and have the project clear when it comes to costs so i can plan the costs agains comfortably. Of course i want a project without costs but retaining WBS, activities and the other elements.

How can i do this?

Thanks

You can achieve it through ECP, create new version which will allow you to have the same structure with two set of planned cost. But if you looking for new project with exact structure, then you can copy the project without copying the ECP.

Are you using network activity costing? If so the costs come from the definition of the network activity and will always be there when you copy a project.

Thanks Ken

Giventhat...How should I have done it or how could I have done it to prevent this and have a copy of the whole structure but without costs to copy and use it in the future?

If you want to use Network Activity Costing you can't stop it from calculating a cost. The template you use to copy can be empty with no work hours or primary costs. That would have a plan cost of 0 but everything would have to be entered manually which defeats the purpose of a template.
