Copy GOS attachment from maintenance plan to order

Former Member

Hello,

we use maintenance plans to create maintenance orders.

The idea is to attach checklists and other documents (excel, word, pdf) to the maintenance plan and this should be copied to each maintenance order. We attach att the moment this documents using GOS.

Is there a standard way to copy document attachments from plan to order?

Or has one of you realized a solution for this requirement?

Thanks a lot.

Kind regards

Manfred

Mannif,

Why don't you use DMS funationality for your requirement. All the documents can be attached in task list thru PRT and it automatically inherits to work order thru maintenance plan as task list was attached to Maint plan.

Hello Mahee,

thank you for your answer.

Yes Tasklist is the right place to attach the files for the maintenance orders.

Could you please explain a bit more what to do? What is PRT?

At the moment i´m able to attach files to the tasklist using GOS. But this is not copied/linked to the maintenance order created by a plan using this task list.

Thanks a lot for a bit more detailed description.

Kind regards

Hi,

PRT is Production Resources / Tools.

PRT can be an equipment or a material or document or even a free text.

Simply, it is an object/item that is required to carry a particular application.

There are other benefits os PRT as well.

Comprehensive documentation is available online.

You can attach a document as a PRT by:

1. Select the task list operation & click on PRT push button below operation list.

2. On PRT selection dialog box, select "Document" push button.

3. You will get relevant fields for selecting a document from DMS.

4. Select your document & save.

Hi,

yes we tried this solution. My missunderstanding was that PRT is in german SAP system FHM

We still prefer a solution using GOS if one of you experts have an idea on this.

The reason is that we are using GOS for a lot of Business Objects - therefore we hope we could use GOS in this area as well. Our users already know how to use GOS.

Kind regards

Manfred
