Controlling Inbound delivery creation in ECC

Hi Gurus,

I am working on PO collaboration Scenario in SAP SNC.

I have created a PO and confirmed the same in SNC. and also Published the ASN in SNC ,

The problem is the confirmation control is updating the creation of ASN and also inbound delivery is created. Is there a Way that i dont want Inbound delivery to be created and when the GR is done with reference to PO , Proof of delivery to be sent to SNC

In ECC i have created the confirmation control key in >>Set Up Confirmation Control>> Confirmation Category as AB and LA.

in AB confirmation cat  i have checked the box as MRP relevant and in LA confirmation cat  i have checked the box as MRP rel, GR Relevant and GR assign.

And this Confirmation control key is POD relevant.

Can i control it in ECC or SNC so that inbound delivery is not created.

Thanks and Regards

shailesh

Dear Shailesh,

I was checking the link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/75/ee13f555c811d189900000e8322d00/content.htm

It mentions you should have a Inbound delivery......with CC as LA there is no way to skip the inbound delivery part

Thanks a Lot Lalita.

I have already gone through the document and i know that with confirmation category LA (Shipping notification) The ASN as well as Inbound delivery will be generated.

Is there any way so that inbound delivery is not created only ASN is updated.

If we cant handle it then , Can i do the GR without reference to Inbound Delivery.

Will the POD sent to Vendor (in SAP SNC). I have already done the config for POD ( message type as STPPOD.

And also done the setting in ECC for Confirmation Category LA as POD relevant.

Do i need to delete the Inbound delivery?

What are the implication if i dont use Inbound delivery while Posting GR without ref to Inbound delivery.

thanks and Regards

Hi Shailesh,

Inbound delivery is not mandatory for GR. You can do GR without the inbound delivery.

Inbound delivery would be just for a confirmation and for tracking purpose.

Could you please help us with the business process and the reason why inbound delivery is not needed?

Well Raghavan my client is having SNC vendor and Non SNC vendor.

For Non SNC Vendor they are not using Inbound delivery and thats the reason they dont want to use it for SNC vendor too.

But if i do GR without inbound delivery then how the POD will be sent to SNC?
