Content Server - Error in HTTP access

Hi,

In our current landscape,we have successfully implemented DMS using a couple of content servers for document storage with associated repositories and storage categories.

So far, users have been transacting successfully, however, for one particular repository,of late,we have observed an issue of users being unable to check in the originals. On testing the connection via CSADMIN,the following error is thrown up: Error in HTTP Access: IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RECEIVE 1 HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED.No CSADMIN,OACO,OACT settings have been altered post Go-Live.

Couple of threads seem to have discussed this issue inconclusively.Do note that we have also recently upgraded to EHP5.Any of you have an idea how to get this going?

hi,

The problem seems to be an issue with folder permissions for that folder in the content server. check the permissions for whether the user Network Service is having full permissions in windows and if it linux check accordingly. Also check the IIS services and permissions. I have experienced a similar problem while installation and configuring the repository in csadmin.

Check security settings in ContentServer.ini file also if there are any changes.

Thanks for your inputs Krupa!!

Problem seems to be with the IIS services.None of the services like handler mappings are getting listed for SAP Content Server.Error message that is thrown up reads "Error:cannot log on locally to E:\INSTALL\......\SAP\Content Server as user admin with virtual directory pwd."

Please note that admin password was changed recently and since then the problem has been observed. We did try reverting to the earlier password without success.Any clue what else could we be missing?

P.S.System details

IIS version-7.0.6000.16386

Windows Sever Version 6.0(Build 6001,SP 1)

This issue has been resolved!! The approach that we eventually adopted is as below:

1)Login to IIS Manager

2)Navigate to SAP Content Server > Content Server

3)Select IIS Manger Permissions > Right Click and select Properties

4)Select Basic Settings > Connect AS >Specify User name and provide Admin account details (user name and password)

5)Restart the IIS service.

Test the check-in scenario for the content respository in question.
