Is it possible to link an UIPath RPA (Robot Process Automation) with an AFC task ?

We work with UIPath for RPA Solutions so an easy link would be very helpful.

Hi Gerald,

based on how the integration for IRPA Bots and AFC is connected, I would see no issue to use UIPATH also.

As all Updates into AFC still tomes from a job running in your SAP System, the task would be just to Adopt the Job used/develivered by SAP to a Custom Job to interact with a API from UIPATH.

We have it also for this year on the digitalisation agenda to leverage UIPATH with AFC integration with this functionality, but I have not sofar deep drived.

We have asked SAP to have a direct API in future to interact with AFC or SAP on such cases, but forsure it can be understand that they want to integrate their own IRPA solution 🙂

At the same time, task scheduling triggers a batch job scheduling in the ABAP system, which in turn sets the status in the ABAP system to Scheduled. After a periodic synchronization, the task status in SAP Advanced Financial Closing is also updated and set to Scheduled. Meanwhile, the trigger report in the ABAP system started due to the batch job scheduling, setting the status in the ABAP system to In Process, which in turn synchronizes again with SAP Advanced Financial Closing, setting the task status there also to In Process. The trigger report finally schedules and runs the bot in SAP Build Process Automation and then the report finishes. The bot that was configured runs on the agent configured for the bot and then returns the results to the ABAP system. Calling report FCCX_SET_STATUS_IRPA, the bot sets the status in the ABAP system to Completed and then finishes. After another periodic synchronization, the task in SAP Advanced Financial Closing also gets the status Completed.
