Can we use T-Code DBCO to setup database connectivity to an external database(oracle database) from SAP HANA Cloud Private Edition ?and How do we do this?

Ive updated the tags and removed 'SAP S/4HANA Cloud' and added #SAP S/4HANA' instead

Hi,

It doesnot matter if you are using S4HANA private Cloud Edition or on-premise S4HANA . You can create a new database connection in DBCO or via DBACOCKPIT tcode or DB02 tcode -> DB connections Tab. Just ensure that the relevant third party drivers are present in the OS level.

Example : For a connection to Oracle database, you can follow the KBA 1261329 - DBA Cockpit: Oracle as a remote database - SAP ONE Support Launchpad

Hello Team,

Check backend Transaction DBCO if your database connection is available.

White-list this connection in table DMC_C_WL_DBCO_OP; use SM30.

Hello

There is nothing in Transaction DBCO ,I think it's probably because we are using SAP HANA Cloud Private Edition.I used to configure in op system.but i don't know how to configure it in HANA Cloud Private Edition system .
