Can we use T-Code DBCO to setup database connectivity to an external database(oracle database) from SAP HANA Cloud Private Edition ?and How do we do this?
Hi,
It doesnot matter if you are using S4HANA private Cloud Edition or on-premise S4HANA . You can create a new database connection in DBCO or via DBACOCKPIT tcode or DB02 tcode -> DB connections Tab. Just ensure that the relevant third party drivers are present in the OS level.
Example : For a connection to Oracle database, you can follow the KBA 1261329 - DBA Cockpit: Oracle as a remote database - SAP ONE Support Launchpad

Hello Team,
Check backend Transaction DBCO if your database connection is available.
White-list this connection in table DMC_C_WL_DBCO_OP; use SM30.
Thanks
