Conditional UI Adaptation in SAP Fiori

Hello,

We have a requirement in S/4HANA public cloud where the client wants to hide the material description in the manage product master Fiori app for certain users but only for certain material groups or materials. I know that the field can be hidden using UI adaptation and that the app variant can be assigned to business roles. But how do we cater to the condition of the material group? In S4HANA on-prem & private cloud we have the UI data protection and masking add-on that can be used to achieve this. But how do we do this in S/4HANA public cloud? Please guide.

Hello Saurabh,

Hiding the material description based on the material group is not possible in the Manage Product Master Data

We have a restriction in S/4HANA Cloud for Product Group ( https://me.sap.com/notes/2808362 ) but it doesnt influence setting certain fields as hidden

Hi Saurabh,

Such requirements are possible with UI Data Protection Masking for S/4HANA solution but this solution is not available for S/4HANA Public Cloud. There was an Customer Engagement Initiative from SAP to take requirements from customer who wish to have masking in S/4HANA Public Cloud but didnt hear much at that time. So, please drop an email to uidp.masking@sap.com with your requirement and I will forward to concern CEI team to let them know that another customer is interested in it.
