company code merger.

I need some help about Company Code Merger, what is process and procedure. Is there any documents/configuration for this or anyone who worked on this can give some brief understanding of this.

Hi,

Can you please elaborate on your requirements? Is it like a merger of two companies having two separate SAP systems into one SAP system? Or the two company codes are in the same client in one SAP box and you need to merge the two company codes?

There is no standard programs as such to accomplish the merger of two company codes. This needs to be taken up as a project with meticulous planning. This will involve data conversions / Master data set up etc.

It is like two company codes in different SAP systems. And wants to start the merger process. can provide any outline or documents on this especiallys from Fi/Co prospective.

U can create the merging company as a new company code and have a consolidated reports for both.... in case u want to have a single company code combining both the companies data then it requires a planning and big project for data migration/mapping.
