Hi All,
I have a scenario, where I have order with couple of suborders. Confirmation is done by external MES system. Each of suborders are confirmed separately via MES. Control key in routings set with automatic GR. Coll. order with goods movement is activated in cost controlling in my production order type. While confirming the suborder 101 movement is done and 261.
The problem is between the end of the month and the beginning of the other one. Imagine the situation when all of suborders are confirmed in one month and the main order is confirmed in the next month. Then while having cost report in kkbc_ord (limited to the previous month) I cannot see the target's cost in suborders. There are 'artificial' variances, which will disappear after confirming the order in next month.
Is there any chance to have these target costs in suborders?
Regards, thank you for your help!

2. Using Statistical Cost Reporting for Suborders in KKBC_ORD
In KKBC_ORD (Order Information System Report), statistical cost reporting allows you to view cost details for suborders, even if target costs are not fully distributed. To enable this:
1.Go to Transaction KKBC_ORD
2. Enter themain order orsuborder number and execute the report.
3. Check if the"Statistical Costs" column is available (or enable it in report layout).
4. If not visible, customize the layout usingSettings → Layout → Change Layout to include statistical cost fields.
5. This helps track estimated costs for suborders even before final cost distribution.
3. Checking Cost Rollup Settings in Costing Variant
Cost Rollup ensures that costs from suborders are considered at the main order level. To check this setting:
1.Go to Transaction OKKN (Costing Variants Configuration)
2. Select theCosting Variant used in your order.
3. Click on theCosting Sheet assigned to the variant.
4. Under theCredit/Debit Key settings, verify that cost rollup is enabled for suborders.
5. If necessary, adjust the settings to ensure suborder costs are rolled up correctly before settlement.

In a collective order scenario, target costs are typically calculated at the header level, and suborders inherit costs upon final confirmation of the main order.
Since your main order is confirmed in the next month, the system does not distribute target costs to suborders in the previous month's KKBC_ORD report,
leading to temporary variances.
To see target costs in suborders, you can try:
1. Early settlement of suborders before month-end to reflect costs properly.
2. Using statistical cost reporting for suborders in KKBC_ORD.
3. Checking Cost Rollup settings in Costing Variant to enable cost distribution at suborder level.
