In VA01，Cannot create sales order with customer down payment when this order contains free goods. If this order has contained free goods (TANN), then cannot set the item category to CBAO. Is this the standard setting? Can we change the configuration?

Hello,

free goods are not invoice-relevant, as they do not generate any payment obligations. In contrast, a down payment requires billing and revenue recognition. Therefore, receiving an advance payment for items that do not require payment is not feasible.

Hi Patryk, if free goods item category is TANN( it's the line item that generated automatically when the count of goods reach the restriction of discount type YA00), it does have price but 100% discount. Whether it can see as a kind of sales?

Such as CBXN, this kind of item has price and 100% discount, so this item has billing. And CBLN, it's also free goods, but it doesn't has price , so no billing for that.

If TANN can be seen as a kind of sales, so it should has billing?
