Hello everybody,
I am new on CO module and I have been asked to create a report for profitability analysis.
I am using T-Code KE34 to create a form and T-Code KE31 to create a report bases but I am facing some issues regarding the layout of my form:
- I set the first column with all the items I want to analyse (costs and revenue items = characteristics) with some text rows. How could I set the size of this column? I would like to make it larger but I can't find any option.
- I would like to create a drill down structure: I create some formula rows to calculate some subtotals and totals and I would like to be able to hide the characteristics and make viewable just the subtotals or totals and vice versa. Is that possible?

For the width of the column I solve it in the form formatting :
Click on the column you want to enlarge then click on Menu > Formatting > Column > width and then insert a number.
For the hiding of the rows, I am just looking to set up a drill down structure. Like I click on the subtotals and the related rows are hiding. Just like in Excel grouping and ungrouping rows

If you succeed in your effort, please let me know. I had a similar requirement of Grouping the Value fields and showing the total amount only and if the user decides he needs to see that individual Value Fields.
I tried but was unable to crack it. So i went on to try Report Report Interface, but failed miserably as the drill down level is lost when you use RRI.

I am sorry to say this but there is a long way to go for you.However, the best part is that, there are lot many members in this community who will be willing to walk you through.
Let me be the first, and if i am wrong someone will correct us. Let us begin our Journey
To start off.. in KE34,
In the Menu----> Edit---->General Data selection= Give the parameters that you want to be part of your Report Selection Screen (Note : The Characteristics you give here will be applicable for the entire Form)
In the lead Column rows Select the Value Fields you want.
The drill down Characteristics should be part of your KE31 report in the Tab Characteristics.
With regard to Text Length...try Menu----->Formatting----->All Rows----> Text Lenght.
With regard to Hiding of Rows try Menu---->Edit----->Rows------>Hide.

Actually I used the wrong word in my first question:

Example:

I would like to make the column value field longer.
