Classification for components in production order is not forwarded to outbound delivery

Hi All,

We are running S/4 HANA 1709.

We assign characteristic values on components in production orders. Here we use the batch classification without having a batch number on these components.

The aim is now to Forward/copy the characteristic values to an outbound delivery for material staging. The outbound delivery is used to trigger the picking in EWM later on.

Currently, the characteristic values are empty on item level in an outbound delivery. I couldn't find anything in saphelp and somewhere else.

Has anybody any idea if this process should work?
