Dear SAP Team,

We have a customer planning to migrate to RISE with SAP who is currently running the SAP Disclosure Management solution on-premise. As part of our architecture design, we are considering moving this solution to an SAP IaaS Server (Windows Cloud). However, we have a few questions that require your clarification:

1.Storage Availability

Based on the SAP Description Guide, we understand that memory is available in configurations of 32 GiB, 64 GiB, and 128 GiB. Could you please clarify the storage capacity options available for SAP IaaS Server (Windows Cloud) so we can ensure alignment with the customer’s requirements?

2.Migration Responsibilities and Procedures

If the SAP Disclosure Management solution is moved from on-premise to the SAP IaaS Server (Windows Cloud):

•Are there any specific protocols or procedures to follow during the migration?

•Is the Partner fully responsible for operational services, including application installation and database management on the IaaS Server?

•Does the Partner have full administrative rights on this server?

Your guidance on the above points will greatly assist us in providing a seamless transition for our customer to the RISE with SAP environment.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your response.

Hi,

The IAAS servers comes as you rightfully state in sizes 32/64/128GiB memory. We have a Linux and a Windows version. The default allocated storage is for operational purpose only, so any storage needed have to be added with the "SAP Additional File Storage" service. This is sold in 128GB blocks.

The partner/customer will get full OS Admin rights.
Partner/customer is fully responsible for operational services, including installation and backup. SAP will remove our own access once this is delivered, so it becomes a blackbox for us. SAP can restart the server if needed.

Best Regards
